The Wisconsin Petroleum Marketers and Convenience Store Association Board of Directors recently announced the appointment of Matt Hauser as the new president of the organization, replacing outgoing Bob Bartlett.
“Speaking on behalf of our membership, I am very pleased to announce Matt Hauser as WPMCA’s President,” said Jim Goetz, Jr., Chairman of the WPMCA Board. “After an extensive search for president, it became clear that in Matt’s role as WPMCA’s Director of Government Affairs these past five years he developed a clear understanding of our members’ businesses as well as the issues and challenges we face. Matt has sound judgment, is a strategic thinker, and has high characterall of which will serve him and WPMCA well in his role as president.”
In addition to his significant accomplishments with WPMCA during the past five years, Hauser also worked as Policy Advisor to Gov. Scott McCallum and as Policy Assistant to Gov. Tommy Thompson, working on a variety of key Wisconsin issues impacting agriculture, natural resources, commerce and transportation.
“I’m honored to represent the interests of more than 2,000 independently owned and operated businesses throughout the state,” says Hauser. “Together we will work to educate policy makers and other business leaders to ensure our 500 members and their 10,000 employees have a strong voice at the Capitol.”
