Madison, Wis. (April 8, 2009)
The Wisconsin Petroleum Marketers & Convenience Store Association (WPMCA) is proud to announce Jack W. Sobczak’s appointment as chairman of the organization’s board of directors.
Sobczak is general manager of sales and marketing with Lakeside Oil Company, Fox Point, Wisconsin, where he has served for nearly 30 years. Sobczak brings additional industry experience from his tenure as assistant district manager of Amoco Oil.
“Representing the interests of our members is a great honor,” said Sobczak. “As chairman of the WPMCA Board, I will work to protect our local communities’ small businesses. The first order of business is making sure our legislators understand the negative ramifications of the proposed Oil Franchise Tax. And then we’ll move on to the other issues facing our industry.”
Sobczak is no stranger to leadership positions. He is a past president of both Milwaukee Oilmen’s Club and the Green Bay Montessori School. He also served in the Air National Guard, 128th Air Refueling Wing. |
